Micromanipulation or also called as ICSI refers to the microscopic treatment of individual sperms, eggs, or embryos in an effort to develop fertilization and/or pregnancy rates. These methods need specialized equipment and personnel.
Uses of Micromanipulators
Micromanipulators are the devices intended to translate macroscopic gesticulations of the human hand into microscopic movements of a fine tool held in its grip. The main intention of its design is to help the scientists move very small instruments or tools used in experiments which are conducted under a microscope.

Concepts that a candidates will learn in Micromanipulation
•You will know about each model of ICSI concept and its laboratory set up
•Learn about the optical systems of ICSI
•Learn how to prepare the dishes and arrange the pipettes
•Learn the best ways of Micromanipulation and achieving the best fertilization rates
•Learn the usage of PICSI dishes and IMSI optics
•Get to know the basics of egg freezing by hands-on training
• Learn the optimal burnish warming process for each stage of pre-implantation embryos
• Learn the usage of open and closed burnishing systems and cryo strage management
•Know about the information management systems in IVF unit
•Interaction with IVF or ICSI experts and learn through informative lectures

The students will receive a course manual, Video CD on standard lab protocols and a latest study materials on Assisted Reproduction laboratory.
